Studio Journal #3

I had to read the book "Photography as Contemporary Art" for one my other classes and I discovered artist Shizuka Yokomizo who has a stranger series. In this series, the photographer sent out letters to various strangers to see if they could stand in front of their windows at a specific time so Yokomizo can photograph them. There were more no's than yes' but those that had said yes had total control and decision over the posing and lighting. Here are some of the images.
